Ever since my childhood, I’ve been fascinated by exploring the world around me. Here, I am not only referring to adventurous travels but mainly the understanding of objects, structures and components of our surrounding, living environment. Being very curious by nature, I developed a deep interest in creating projects that would lead individuals to take a step back from their everyday habits and experience the beauty within their reach.

This ideal translated into the making of a multifunctional artist and the his acquisition of methods to achieve a variety of ideas. I see my work as one where scenography and concept become deeply embedded in each of these components so that all together they are a complete unity, not a sum of crafts and devices.

In 2013, I completed a bachelor’s degree in film production from Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM) with an added certificate in Arabic culture and language. At the time, I wanted to become a war videographer, very much influenced by the work of Tim Hetherington (Restrepo, 2010) and the portfolio of Denis Villeneuve.

I spent the next few years working in video production, creating content for corporate projects and advertising while being a filmmaking gear sales advisor.

This path taught me how to manage small projects, budgets and client relationships while keeping creativity at core. But ultimately, I knew I wanted to communicate my vision through other channels.

In 2017, I initiated a migration to interactive medias. With project experience, peer learning, failures and courses, I learned how to create and deliver projects that encompass interactive variables. Through my research and development, I learned specialized techniques, such as projection mapping, technology architecture, schematics analysis and of course, keeping a realistic budget.

This migration brought me to produce installations in Canada, Mexico, France and the Middle East. I use several frameworks and tools to develop the projects that I am part of, including Touchdesigner, Unity, Autodesk (Cad and Fusion), Adobe and Blender. I am a strong advocate of using SCRUM boards and agile methodology for project planning to keep scalability and collaboration as smooth as possible. I participate actively in fabrication and printing processes as well as installation, from logistics and schematics to power load distribution.

Altogether, I am a creator of genuine and meaningful experiences.
